Yo! Been a bit since I opened my gob about anything, hasn't it? I suppose I should lay out what all's been happening over here.

To lead off with, rest assured neither Kaz nor I are thrilled about the present stagnancy of Lonely Hooves. There's been a myriad of health and work issues over the last year that have really crippled her and shifted my own priorities heavily towards paid and monetized work out of necessity. We'd love to get back to it, but she is quite literally down an eyeball right now and will be for at least a month longer before the doctors finally conclusively decide what they're going to do to help recover vision she's lost to an eye injury. It has not been fun for her in the slightest, but she's getting through it like a trooper.

On my end, work cut my hours for a few months before recently laying me off entirely. I've largely been scrambling, throwing things at the wall and seeing what sticks. There's been Hare Moon updates, Witches' Thralls progress, a couple short stories launched over on itch, a number of Cat Scratches.... which is a lot of nouns! And they don't mean much to anyone who's not backing me on the Ketirz Patreon, because as it happens I'm pretty bad at advertising what all I do that's not cartoon horses on here. Did you know I've been making a game? Probably not, unless you follow me on Twitter or stalk the Discord. I am very hesitant to talk about these things on DA, between not being able to post most of it here due to its naughty nature, and most of my audience on here really only being after one thing.

But hey, if you want more ponies and enjoy the idea of it being Fluttershy rule 34, there's a whole other comic happening wherein Angel turns into a hulking werebunny and shows her what it is rabbits are known for.

Sex. It's sex. I draw porn for money. And for free! Gotta cover those bases.

If you're wondering about the present state of my employment and what it will amount to, I've got a write-up about that right here on my Patreon. TL;DR: more streaming, more commission work, probably back to animating on a regular basis because that's where I pull numbers.

Stick with me here. We're working on it, but life's a mess. I want to get on with Lonely bad enough that I've considered my options if it turns out Kaz is down for good. I'm not pulling that trigger yet - it's her baby too, after all - but just know this story is important to both of us, and we've dropped off in an absolutely terrible place to leave everyone hanging. Things happen this chapter! There's some payoffs! Some new setups!! Creepy monsters???? God, I want you all to see it. We have such sights to show you, and hopefully we'll get to soon.

In the meantime, though, it's back to shilling drawings of boobs. Yum yum!

Sorry for the lack of update this week! I've been having a rough time getting art to happen (the allergies are just plain winning), but I DID finally start getting chapter 2 up on the Lonely Hooves website (we have one of those btw, I've just been very bad about getting it up to speed so we can start officially using it!) and I've started setting up a forum (18+ only, and very much a WIP) like in the olden days back before everyone used Facebook and the like to compile all of their interests. Also, accounting, because apparently I've hit the point where I need to consider my art income as proper business income for the government lest they start getting very mad at me (have I mentioned my very NFSW Patreon on here lately?). I also replaced the car I managed to total so that's a thing. I should probably use this journal more.

It seems I am pretty busy, but I am also considering some things!! With the advent of DA's own subscriber / "tip" system - and quite notably the added clause that the kind of content I do under the Ketirz banner is more allowable under it - I'm considering setting up subscriber galleries on here as a mirror / alternative to Patreon, which seems good to have as a rule anyway since who knows how long they'll put up with any given thing over there. There's no real downside to having it set up as a plan B outside of the work involved in getting that all going, and if nobody goes for it then nobody goes for it and that's probably fine. I've no intention to monetize Lonely Hooves itself though (I'm not interested in dancing that dance with Hasbro's lawyers, thanks) so don't worry about that if it's the main reason you're here.

Anyway I have no clue where these even show up for anyone anymore. I still don't really know my way around Eclipse at all... >_>;;

Oh! Maybe this'll be a neat glimpse behind the curtainfor anyone not hanging out in the Discord. You know, while y'all wait for the next entry.

At the start of the chapter, I set out to take advantage of Clip Studio's 3D Model references and made this little set for the traincar seats! There was quite a bit of reference and concept work done up for our version of an Equestrian traincar, but this is probably the bit I'm most proud of. I'm using the heck out of it, too! Any time you see the seats at any sort of perspective or spy one the more elaborate panel shots, this model kit's been a lifesaver. It's nice to finally get some practical use out of all my fiddling around in Blender too, so that's a bonus.

I don't know if I'll have to make more of these later on, but it wouldn't surprise me. There's a lot planned for this little train ride! Even when there's not a page, we're probably plugging away on something or other over here.
